Suggested steps to now integrate blogging into your classroom:
1)    Develop your classroom blog further and become familiar with Blogger.com and all of the gadgets. Learn by doing first!

2) Determine what the goal of your classroom blog will be.

3) Have a discussion with your principal about blogging in the classroom. You may need to seek board approval. The more backup you have from students, parents and administrators in terms of clarifying the use of blogging the better.

4) Consider the level of Internet access that both you and your
     students have

5) Have adequate tech support on hand to address any problems that may arise.

6) Prepare a parent letter.

7) Prepare your students for blogging
·        Teach students about the digital footprint
·        Prepare a list of blogs with appropriate content and look
at some of those sites with your students
·        Set up a username/password handout for websites used in
         class
·        Set up blogs on a first name or pseudonyms basis only- no
         need for personal identifiers.
·        Consider having students submit drafts only first, rather
         than publishing first.
·        In Blogger, go to “permissions” under the “settings” tab
         and make sure the
teacher/member is checked as an author as well.
·        Be safe, be proficient, and be involved.
